The staff working with under 5's use the curriculum guidance Birth to Five Matters, the learning guidance includes;

The staff working with the children 5 years and over use the curriculum guidance for the Foundation Stage, the learning guidance includes:
Language and Literacy
Mathematics
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Physical Development
Creative Development
Social and Emotial Development

Using these guidelines, the staff at Little Learners plan activities and topic work ensuring that the early learning goals are incorporated into the nursery curriculum.

The older children can gain access to all equipment and activities at all times. The nursery is structured and planned by the staff using the High Scope Approach. This is an approach where the children plan, work and review activities together. This encourages the children to individually choose their activities for part of the day, particapate in their chosen task and then share experiences with the other children within the review session.
